GROWER AND RESEARCHER FORUM
Day One Discussion Topics
We have been working hard on improving the format of the event and have incorporated as much of the feedback from your RSVP forms (and last year's event) as possible.
Three projects to be discussed on day one have been carefully chosen so there will be something of interest to all groups. They are:
- Future Farm Industries CRC - Evercrop project
- ARWA Climate Adaptation Program - New landuse systems
- CSIRO & GRDC - Opportunities for energy production by Australian grain growers
Participants should carefully consider which session they will attend so it will generate the best value for their group. Our aim is that by the end of the day, all groups will have developed a small list of actions they can take to become involved with a new research project in the next 12 months.

Football Flavour at GGA Forum - 4/6/2008
Darren Beazley, General Manager of Strategic Partnerships for the Fremantle Dockers, has been confirmed as the key note presenter on day one of the GGA forum.
He will draw on his experience at Fremantle and as General Manager of Business Development at the WACA to explore how grower groups and their partners can build a sustainable business to withstand external pressures, initiate and maintain new partnerships and look for alternative methods to secure sponsorship.
Since Darren has been at the Dockers, the club has obtained the second highest sponsorship revenue in the AFL. Darren believes the key ingredient is the club's ability to embrace its sponsors and commercial supporters and include them in core club activities.
