GRDC NGN Winter Forum – Northampton
Following is an invitation from GRDC National Grower Network (NGN), to attend the winter forum and AI workshop – an informal chat with other grain growers about opportunities and challenges relevant to the industry.
The National Grower Network (NGN) is the ‘front door’ for Australian grain growers and advisers to engage with GRDC. The NGN supports practice change by involving growers and advisers in the design and delivery of locally relevant research, development and extension (RD&E) investments. Through the NGN, GRDC listens to growers to understand and address the constraints and opportunities on their farms, working to increase the profitability and sustainability of their businesses.

Keynote speaker Ben Finkel, Managing Director of ARAIN will present a practical session on where AI genuinely fits on a grain farm, how to think about your own operation through the lens of AI and learn a few techniques to get started. Whether you use AI every day or you’ve never touched it, there’ll be something for you.
The free winter forum + workshop will be held from 9am to 1pm with complimentary food and refreshments provided. We hope you can join us at one of the following locations:

More about Ben Finkel: Ben leads ARAIN, a national initiative helping producers, advisers and agribusinesses explore practical, responsible AI. With a background in strategy and innovation across agriculture, logistics and telcos, he brings a systems lens to technology adoption in regional settings. Ben has worked with leading organisations to co-design AI education and prototyping programs that tackle real-world challenges. He specialises in building capability pathways, from awareness to applied pilots, supporting safe, scalable innovation. Outside work, Ben is a dog whisperer and believer in slow-cooked meals.
