WA Workshop: Climate Information to Support Future Farming Practices

26 Oct 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

The Future Drought Fund is developing two digital tools to help farmers anticipate what future climate in their region might look like, how it could impact production of key commodities and what can be done now to prepare.

We’ve developed prototype tools with input from farmers in 4 pilot regions, including the WA sheep-wheatbelt. We want to continue the conversation to make sure the tools are practical and can make a real difference.

In a two-hour workshop―split into two 45 minute sessions―you’ll have an opportunity to speak directly to members of the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment, Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO and Deloitte Australia, who will be on hand to answer your questions and listen to your ideas about the development of these new services.

Session 1 seeks your input on understanding the value of better climate information for a range of agricultural and rural community users.

Session 2 takes a deep dive into the online design of the new tools, and will involve break-out sessions to seek your ideas on a range of products that are in development.

We want your help to make sure these initiatives meet your needs. Please consider signing up to one the events below to take part. These links will allow you to register on Eventbrite.
