As part of GGA’s 2025 Capacity Building Program, we have once again partnered with Planfarm to offer network group staff access to the Planfarm Academy’s ‘Agronomy of Farming – Short Course’ at a 50% discounted rate.
As an established learning platform, the Planfarm Academy comes highly recommended within the WA agriculture industry.
The Agronomy of Farming short course is ideal for those with no formal agricultural or science training designed to teach the foundations of crop and pasture agronomy.
Cost
Course RRP is $880 per person, after applying the GGA 50% discount, total cost per person is just $440.
There is no cap on the number of staff that can use this discount, however this offer is exclusive to staff of GGA network member groups listed in the GGA network A-Z directory here.
Who is it for?
All ages, genders and abilities, however it is best suited to the young to agricultural industry worker who has not received formal agronomy training.
This course is great for recent university and agriculture school graduates looking to improve their understanding of the principles of agronomy.
Curriculum
The course has been developed by our Planfarm agronomists, using their wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that the most important aspects of agronomy are covered.
At the end of this program you will not be an agronomist, but you will have a much deeper understanding of the science behind what you are seeing in the field.
Developed by Planfarm’s blue-chip Agronomy team, the 12 module course ensures that students take a dive into the most critical aspects of this discipline and leave with a high level of both confidence and capability.
Throughout your career in agriculture, you will be presented with a vast array of products, technology and advice that, without this course, you would have to taken as gospel.
The Agronomy of Farming – Short Course allows you to understand the science behind what you are seeing in the field and be able to make informed and independent decisions that will get the best results for your farm business.
