Accredited Diploma of Project Management Course ideal for ag industry staff or volunteers required to deliver projects to a deadline, within budget and with a mix of stakeholders involved such as research trials, networking events or conferences.

This four-day residential short-course, is a highlight of the GGA Capacity Building program.

The diverse range of participants creates a cohort with a great mix of ages, backgrounds and organisations. The immersion residential experience enables accelerated learning and invaluable networking forming new professional connections within the WA agriculture industry.

Technically speaking, the content is rigorous, the course days are demanding but fun with the knowledge gained extremely valuable for those managing projects or events.

Date

The course will be run with a four-day immersion learning residential experience at Muresk Institute from 12 noon on Tuesday 4 – 3pm Friday 7 June [inclusive].

These dates fall straight after the June long weekend [ Monday 3rd June is a public holiday]


Places

We have places for 20 delegates, 12 places set aside for GGA network member delegates, and 8 for the wider ag industry. This blend provides an enriching learning experience for participants.


Cost

The participation fee includes course teaching and materials, accreditation assessment, accommodation and all meals while staying at Muresk for the 4-day intensive workshop. On one evening we head out to Northam for a social dinner which is included in the fee.

$1,300 – GGA network member rate ticket
$1,600 – Industry ticket

Accommodation

Delegates are accommodated on-site at the Muresk Institute in comfortable single student rooms with share bathrooms, split into male or female wings. Bedrooms include a single bed, desk and storage space. Delegates have access to a kitchenette and common lounge to heat meals and spend time with fellow delegates.

The beautiful grounds of Muresk allow access to morning or end-of-day walks and plenty of space to step away from the group.

Program Format

Learning occurs over four days in a classroom setting. Learning is hands-on and fun facilitated by an experienced instructor. Time in class will be used for collaborative learning experiences and to complete your accreditation project.

Accreditation Assignment

The assessment is purely about setting out the theoretical steps learned in the academic part of the course into a real context, selection of a smaller project as an assessment is worth considering to simplify the exercise but this can be decided on during the course week.

Curriculum

Tuition includes four days at Muresk which will qualify delegates for the nationally accredited Diploma of Project Management course number is BSB50820.

Content will cover Project Management Overview and theory covering the Project Management Body of Knowledge (10 PMBOK principles): Integration, Scope, HR, Stakeholders, Communication, Risk, Quality, Procurement, Cost, Time
