Lift Off ’24 [x evokeAG]

Lift Off aims to build alignment across the GGA network at the start of the year consolidating important working relationships, provide valuable operational updates and opportunity for capacity building.

In 2024, Lift Off will take its place as a unique lead-in ‘side line event’ to the major international ag industry conference evokeAG being held in Perth the same week.

GGA is especially pleased to welcome Research / Project Officers from WA GGA member groups for an afternoon launch of a comprehensive new GGA professional development program supporting Research/Project Officers from the GGA network.

Interstate and international ‘exchange experience’

The Lift Off ’24 program will be enriched this year by opening up to interstate and international delegates that will be in Perth for evokeAG.

We aim to host a 2-hour WA x interstate x international ‘show and tell’ grower group exchange experience.

Not only will we do the around-the-room update from local WA groups introducing themselves, we’ll also hear from local and visiting grower groups about how they operate, the kind of on-ground work they are undertaking, and the challenges they face in their home region.

Program

Time – 8.30am arrival [9.00am start] – 4.30pm

A central program will run all day from the Holiday Inn for WA GGA groups.

International delegates are welcome to join us for the morning [Sessions 1-3 plus lunch].

Interstate delegates are welcome to join us for the majority of the day [Sessions 1-6].

Research /Project Officers Afternoon Program

Time – 1.30pm – 4.30pm | Adnate Hotel

Following lunch, WA Research/Project Officers will break-away for an afternoon of professional development run from [the beautiful] Adnate Hotel [300m walk up the road].

Led by GGA’s Michelle Condy, an inspiring afternoon process will be facilitated by the team from Value Creators in a six-part program.

Part 2 – Meet your GGA network colleagues

Part 3 – Personality types – working to your strengths

Arvo Tea Break [Poolside]

Part 4 – Your role – set your goals on leading and driving change in the agriculture ecosystem

Part 5 – Resilience and building a confident growth mindset

Part 6 – Co-design the ‘Research / Project Officers community of practice’

Make the most of your time and build your ag industry contacts. Join us for a catered poolside networking sundowner at the beautiful Adnate Hotel.

Includes 1 hour service of canapes food, venue and some soft drinks.

Ticket 1 – WA delegate – $90 main program all-day ticket [40 places]

  • All GGA network member groups are strongly encouraged to attend.
  • For groups without staff, time-poor ‘operational volunteers’ such as Chairs and Secretaries will find Lift Off an efficient way to learn about opportunities through meeting key GGA staff.
  • Price includes full-day program at Holiday Inn, morning tea, social lunch, afternoon tea.
    *Networking Sundowner is an optional extra of $39 per person.

Ticket 2 – WA Research /Project Officers’ $190 all-day ‘combo’ ticket [20 places]

Price includes morning program, morning tea, social lunch at the Holiday Inn plus facilitated six part afternoon training sessions and afternoon tea at the Adnate Hotel.

Ticket 3 – WA Research /Project Officers’ $100 half-day afternoon only ticket [20 places]

Price includes facilitated six-part afternoon training sessions and afternoon tea at the Adnate Hotel. *Networking Sundowner is an optional extra of $39 per person.

Ticket 4 – Interstate delegate ticket $90 [20 places]

  • Interstate grower groups or groups affiliated with the National Grower Group Collective may automatically proceed to ticketing to self-register.
  • Price includes sessions 1-6 from program at Holiday Inn, morning tea, social lunch, afternoon tea.
    *Networking Sundowner is an optional extra of $39 per person.

Ticket 5 – International delegate ticket $90 [15 places]

  • International grower groups, farming systems groups or organisations operating in a similar context should follow this two step process:
    1.Complete this Expression Of Interest form first
    2. Await clearance from GGA [Kallista Bolton] confirming you qualify to register.
  • Price includes sessions 1-3 in program at Holiday Inn, morning tea, social lunch.

For those that prefer the fast route [15 mins]team up with other Lift Off delegates and hit the road in an Uber from the Adnate Hotel kerb.

Need a Roommate for Twin Share? – should you wish to book twin share but don’t have a roommate, simply go ahead and purchase your accommodation through GGA via this Eventbrite ticketing platform and we will attempt to pair you up with another delegate from the network of the same sex.

This hotel oozes summer pool party vibe and an open air area great for alfresco socialising. The vibe here is bright, modern with ample comfortable seating for extended conversations.

– Room rate of $245 for an ensuite room or $311 per room for twin set up – available the night before 18th Feb, as well as from the 19th onwards for Lift Off and a longer stay for evokeAG
