The FAHMA project is a 4-year investment with CSIRO by GRDC to develop grower-ready tools for frost and heat management. It combines our understanding of crop damage caused by frost and heat stress with the science of temperature mapping. The project aims to integrate data over large spatial areas and deliver sub-paddock scale insights to growers. Project leads Dr. Julianne Lilley and Dr David Deery are interested in local challenges regarding frost and heat. They will share their findings and demonstrate the real-time, paddock-level prototypes that are being developed.
