Best Practice Grain Storage Extension

This project supports connecting grower groups and growers with extension support around on-farm grain storage capacity and best practice grain storage procedures to help growers maximise grain quality retention and seed germination.

A GRDC funded project, GGA is collaborating with GRDC Stored Grain project lead Primary Business as national lead and Ben White as the WA based on ground project partner.

Workshops or Presentations

Free talks and demonstrations as stand alone a tailored workshop or as part of at spring field days, harvest reviews or with group members can be arranged with Ben White, GRDC grain storage project partner in WA and agricultural engineer at the Kondinin Group.

Workshops cover aspects such as pests, moisture, fumigation, seed storage, bags or bunkers, and temporary storage. Ben can also demonstrate a silo pressure testing ahead of harvest so growers can fumigate with confidence.
