As part of GGA’s arrangement with GRDC Stored Grain project lead Primary Business, some free help is available to support grain growers looking ahead at on-farm grain storage capacity and good grain storage procedures. .
Ben White, GRDC grain storage project partner in WA and agricultural engineer at the Kondinin Group, will be conducting workshops and offering advice on grain storage. Groups can request Ben provide free talks and demonstrations at spring field days and harvest reviews, or a tailored workshop with group members.
Content could cover advice on grain storage hygiene, temporary storage, bags or bunkers, to help growers maximise grain quality retention and seed germination.
A call for expression of interest from Grower Groups on general engagement with the Grain Storage Extension Project has been previously made direct to grower groups.
